Berkeley First-aid/CPR/AED Course Description
Course Name: Heartsaver First-aid/CPR/AED
Course Length: 5 hours
Certification: American Heart Association
Cost: $140 (cash or check made to STS)
Card valid: 2 years, receive on day of class
Location: 2076 University Avenue, Suite B, Berkeley
The Heartsaver First-aid/CPR/AED course combines defibrillator use, CPR & First-aid training and first aid care that includes all the major emergencies such as: cardio pulmonary resuscitation for everyone, how to relieve an object when a victim is choking, AED training, fractured bones, bleeding emergencies, Epi-Pen use, poisoning, and burn victims. The combined course is about 5 hours and is appropriate for renewals or initial students. During the course, we will have small breaks, but there is not a lunch pause.
Cancellation Policy: You can cancel your class at anytime for any reason and you only pay for the training if you arrive. Participants will get the book and certification card on the day of the training.
Audience for this combined CPR & First-aid Seminar
• School teachers and sporting coaches
• Health instructors and sports trainers
• Parents of foster children, social services employees
• Baby-sitters who are 11+, parents of small children
• OSHA Construction workers
• Maritime personnel (US Coast Guard approved)
Important: Don’t sign up for this training if you need EMSA/Title 22 certification for child care.
